On the left, the riot shield that was packed with the GI Joe Pit Commando. On the right, the one that came with several Valor Vs Venom Joes some years ago, i think i got this one with Burnout. I know toolings wear out, but i can't see Hasbro wrecking their mold over VvsV's short run. So why the new tooling for a pathetic cookie sheet when the other one was much better?

If I had to guess, it looks like the new one uses less plastic. Though it could be an entirely new mold.

op here again, haha. i went to a walmart i usually don't go to, and found punisher and killer moth. i desperately wanted killer moth for his kalibak piece, but the figure is just so absurd looking that i love him. and punisher is so far the only figure for the nemesis wave that i've seen in stores, and he is coincidentally the figure i wanted most anyway. i gave him some new weapons though.

Are there any good ways to get rid of the grain in my Cellphone pics?

Good ways? Well, this may not be a good method for cellphone pics, but I use either the Median or Despecle filters (under Noise) in Photoshop to get rid of annoying grain in photos. It works well if you take large raw images and are ready to resize them to near completely eliminate the grain after using the filter, but when that's not an option, you do lose small details or are left with some grainyness (see pic). You could also use a combination of Gaussian blur and Unsharp mask to get similiar results, but that tends to take more time and I'm lazy. Also, setting the grey point (Levels) helps you correct the colours (see other pic) but that's not really relevant to the grain question.

In case you don't have Photoshop, I guess you could still use Gimp's median filter, though that requires some fiddling with the settings AFAIK.

So I was thinking...

The RID Transformer figures, or the autobots at least, were kind of strange looking. They almost look like they would fit with the movie aesthetic.

If one were interested in the car brothers...the Prowl mold and its many redecos could almost pass for a movie completionist's G1 franchise.
