It was doing impressively well a day or so ago. I understand it's hard to keep a community up when things are new.

That and I'll probably seem douchey if I advertise anymore on /toy/.

Okay, how about favorite Lego sets? One of my favorites is the massive Lego Pirate ship I got for Christmas once. In terms of awesomeness, this one ranked very high. Best of all, the cannons are spring loaded.

Given the price at release, I can't see it coming back, however. $125 in 1989-1995 would mean absurd prices today.

I still have the instructions and all the parts, so when I get some time, I'll try rebuilding it. I think I'll need new rigging, and I'll have to iron the sales, but eve

Even when I was little I was bothered by the inaccuracies. Long sleeved GI's for Ken and Ryu, the fact that they came with sickles and swords, and just in general looking nothing like their vidya counterparts.

Ken's constipated face made me laugh though.

Anonymous 29/9/2009(Tue)06:48:38 No.284042
the problem is they reused gi joe bodies with just a new head sculpt. and since the bodies were those stupid ninja action ones, the figures sucked even harder.

ken's head might make for a good dave mustaine custom though.

When I was a kid, I loved building scale models. I didn't do a very good job of them, but I had fun all the same. As over-protective as my mom was, she still let me use knives and glue and paint to build them.

Nowadays, in North America, scale modeling isn't a kids thing. Too many helicopter parents refuse to let their kids near dangerous glue and messy paints, and ... gasp... knives! Then there's the whole "WAR TOYS" thing. Even Gunpla seem to be ignored nowadays.

It makes me sad, because
